After the battle of Culloden, Government forces were determined to end the clan system once and for all and were ordered to ensure that there would never again be another Jacobite rising. Detachments of redcoats hunted Jacobites and their supporters through the glens, meting out a particularly brutal and murderous justice as they saw fit. Here, a small band of Jacobites take cover from a redcoat patrol.
