Young Heselrigg accosts William Wallace
William Wallace is accosted in the streets of Lanark by young Heselrigg, the son of the English sheriff of Lanark. Unfortunately, the youth had designs on Wallace's sweetheart, Marion Braidfute. Heselrigg's attentions may well have been a factor in the ensuing massacre of the Lanark garrison by Wallace following the murder of Marion.
