Now or Never- Robert the Bruce, initial ink sketch
Mid-morning, 24th Jume, 1314. On the second day of the Battle of Bannockburn, King Robert Bruce prepares to lead his final schiltron into battle having held it in reserve while the battle rages before him. Supported by Angus Og MacDonald and his wild highlanders, they would charge into the thickest part of the battle. It would be either victory, or death.
